There are three commands available within Bentley Map to assist you in performing common functions on features that participate in a persisted topology. There common functions are:

• Sub-dividing an existing polygon into smaller areas (split)
• Merging two adjoining smaller polygons into a new larger one (merge) and
• Modifying a common vertex point joining two or more polygons

The items acted upon must be:

• XFM shape features
• The features must participate in a dynamic persisted topology polygon layer
